The 13km course follows the Surf Coast Walk along clifftop trails from Southside Car Park to Torquay, passing Bells Beach, Eagle Rock, and Spring Creek boardwalk. The trail is non-technical and well-signposted with brief inland sections through heath and a short dune run near the finish at Salty Dog Cafe.
