Runners beeline up the beach (northeast, away from Torquay township), before turning left off the sand near the halfway mark. Runners will pick up the walking tracks above the beach, and return back south west to the Salty Dog Cafe. The course is non technical and well marked with lots of 'glow' en route and a marshall at the turn around.
