The course starts at Tavare Park in Harrietville, crossing the Ovens River and ascending Bon Accord Track for approximately 6km alongside the river before climbing steeply up Bon Accord Spur to the Bon Accord Hut Ruins. After further steep climbing that passes the treeline onto the Razorback, runners undulate for a final kilometre to the finish at Diamantina Hut.
