Grampians Peaks Trail Run 2025: Race Report

The Grampians Peaks Trail Run returned in June 2025 to deliver one of the best trail running experiences in Australia. Here's a detailed report from the 60km course.

Conditions

Unusually warm for June, with temperatures reaching 18°C by midday. The trails were dry and fast — a departure from the muddy conditions many had prepared for.

The Course

The 60km route takes in the best of the Grampians: the Pinnacle, Chatauqua Peak, and the famous Hollow Mountain. Technical descents and rewarding climbs with constant views.

Standout Moments

The sunrise from Chatauqua Peak at the 30km mark was worth every early morning training run. Views across to the Wimmera plains are something you don't forget.
