Red Dirt Backyard Ultra

The Red Dirt Backyard Ultra is a last one standing endurance event in Karratha, Western Australia starting on 27 June 2026. A Backyard Ultra is a form of ultramarathon race where competitors must consecutively run a 6.71K loop on the hour, every hour until there is only one participant left – known as the Last One Standing (LOS). Everyone else is deemed a DNF (Did Not Finish). The course starts and finishes at the Bayview Road Caravan Park in Nickol. The course is trail, with a mixture of gravel, hard sand, and red dirt. The event is organised by the Pilbara Trailblazers.
