Hahndorf Pioneer Women's Trail Walk
The Pioneer Women's Trail Walk on 17 May 2026 has 12km, 19km and 26km options with the longest starting in Hahndorf and all events ending at Beaumont, South Australia. This annual event is a celebration of pioneering women and the trek they made from Hahndorf to the city to sell their produce. You can begin your journey at Hahndorf (26km), Bridgewater (19km) or Stirling (12km) depending on your preference and abilities. Walk country roads, laneways and bush tracks through a delightful section of the Adelaide Hills, passing historic homes and deciduous trees in their autumn colours. Enjoy stunning city views on the way to Beaumont House where food vans, live music and a beautiful garden awaits you so you can unwind with your fellow walkers and newly-made friends. Runners are also welcome. The event is organised by the National Trust of South Australia.
