Paluma Ultra Marathon Trail Run
The Paluma Ultra is a 52km ultramarathon trail race on 24 October 2026 based from the Paluma township, north west of Townsville, Queensland. The course takes runners through pristine wet tropics rainforest, past waterfalls and through refreshing creek crossings. It then descents into dry eucalypt forest and cattle country and wide open spaces before climbing back into the dense rainforest parts of Paluma. The event starts from the Gumburu Environmental Education Centre and finishes at the village green in Paluma.
