The 2.8km course starts and finishes on Middle Ridge Road, beginning on a wide fire trail that descends and transitions to loose gravel. At 1.1km, it turns sharply onto single track with puddles and washed-out sections, then features a steep climb on a rutted section around the 2km mark. The final 400m is a sprint back to the finish.
