
Great Ocean Trail Ultra
The Great Ocean Trail Ultra on 24 October 2026 includes a 100km and 45km solo distance and a 2-person relay along the Great Ocean Walk track in Victoria. The 100km course follows the whole GOW trail, starting at Apollo Bay and winding through the Otway forests, along wind-swept beaches and climbing rugged headlands. The 2-person relay completes the full distance in legs of 55km and 45km. The 45km solo distance follows the second half of the GOW track, starting at Johanna Beach via great Ocean Road. The terrain is approximately 73% singletrack, 20% fire trail/gravel, 5% beach and 2% pavement. This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.

Getting there
The 100km starts in Apollo Bay, the 45km at Johanna Beach. The 2026 finish line is TBC.
