The 50km race traverses Brisbane Water National Park on a mix of fire trail and walking track with precipitous ascents and descents, creek crossings, mud, slippery rocks and roots. The out-and-back course has its turnaround at Girrakool Picnic Area (25km), with aid stations at Dillons Firetrail (10km), Tommos Loop (15km), and Girrakool (25km).
