Birdy's Backyard Ultra

Birdy's Backyard Ultra is a "Last One Standing" endurance event starting on 7 August 2026 at Lake Towerrinning in Western Australia. In a Backyard Ultra event, competitors run a 6.71km lap (4.167 miles) each hour, every hour and must finish their lap within the hour or they are out. The race continues until only one runner can complete the lap within the 1-hour time limit. The event is named after the legend of Big Birdy, a 8’4” Mythical Man in the Wilderness of the Great South Western Bushlands of Australia. There is a maximum limit of 200 entrants for this event.
