Backyard Everest

The Backyard Everest event on 12 September 2026 is a unique endurance running event in Athelstone, South Australia. Runners take on a 5.3km loop with 369m of vert every hour. Each lap builds the elevation, each summit brings you higher - from Table Mountain (3 hours) to the ultimate goal to conquer the height of Mount Everest (8848m) in 24 hours. Runners will be chasing summits, medals, and their own limits.
