Backroads Gravel Run

The Backroads Gravel Run on 8 August 2026 includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, 14km and 5km run in the Chapman Valley, WA. The running events are held as part of the Backroads Gravel, the Midwest’s biggest mass participation sporting event, attracting runners and riders from across Australia. The Marathon is a challenging gravel marathon, held on the scenic dirt roads of Chapman Valley. The route is undulating with an elevation gain of 403m. It can be run solo or in a relay team of 2. The 14km trail run is for new and experienced trail runners or walkers alike with grass, gravel, hills, firebreaks and some sensational breakaway country. The 5km is a park run style of race to entice all ages for an exciting gravel experience. It incorporates mixed surfaces of pavement, bitumen, gravel and firebreaks.
