4 Peaks Bright Alpine Climb 2026: Mt Buffalo

The 4 Peaks Bright Alpine Climb run at Mt Buffalo on 31 October 2026 is on the first day in a series of four trail runs. Starting at the Eurobin Creek Picnic Area, runners depart the lower end of the picnic area onto The Big Walk. The Big Walk winds its way up Mt Buffalo and finishes at the Old Buffalo Chalet. Take a camera - the views and landscapes are amazing. The Bright Alpine Climb, also known as the Four Peaks Climb, started in 1979 to get walkers into the hills to enjoy the superb scenery the area around Bright has to offer. Runners have since joined the walkers and have added excitement to the event. The series is normally held on Melbourne Cup weekend every year.
